About Us

My name is Paul Kerr, and I spent 26 years serving with Victoria Police in operational frontline roles. Throughout my career, I witnessed firsthand the consequences of poor decisions behind the wheel, but I also saw the difference that good judgement, awareness and responsible driving can make.

As part of my policing career, I received advanced driver training and operated police vehicles in demanding and often high-risk situations. One lesson remained constant: while emergency vehicles may sometimes be exempt from traffic laws, nobody is exempt from the laws of physics. Speed, distraction, poor judgement and lack of awareness can have consequences that no safety features can overcome.

That understanding is what inspired me to establish Sure Path Driving School.

My goal is to help the next generation of drivers become safe, confident and capable road users. I teach students to be aware of their surroundings, to anticipate hazards, to respect other road users and to make calm, informed decisions behind the wheel.

I believe safe driving does not mean timid driving. Confident drivers who understand their vehicle, recognise risks and make good decisions are the safest drivers on the road. My lessons focus on building that confidence alongside responsibility, ensuring students are prepared not only to pass their driving test, but to drive independently for years to come.

Parents can be confident that their young driver is learning from someone with decades of real-world experience, a commitment to road safety and a genuine passion for helping young people develop lifelong driving skills.
